Food Pantry
Open to residents of Hendricks County, photo ID required.
Open Every Saturday from 10am – Noon.
Changes During the COVID19 Pandemic:
Temporary Drive-Up Service
During the pandemic, we are serving patrons via drive-up service only. Patrons should stay in their vehicle to ensure social distancing and protection for those in the vehicle as well as food pantry volunteers. Patrons should drive their vehicle up and show photo identification as confirmation of Hendricks County residency by placing it up to the closed window of their vehicle. Patrons can receive food once per month. The volunteer will register family name for their monthly visit and then the vehicle should proceed to the next volunteer who will place the box of food in the trunk and provide further instructions if needed.
Donating Food
“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”
Thank you Messiah and community for your generosity!
Volunteering to Serve
We encourage individuals and families to help by volunteering to open and work during our Saturday morning distribution. This is a great way to help serve in our community. During the pandemic, we have established and continue to refine our social distancing distribution process for the safety and well-being of all. Operations during Saturday morning distribution requires five adults plus one or two more helpers, which may be teenagers. You can help in this important ministry by going to our interactive website to sign up click here or copy and paste this into your web browser: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsCAHMYRj181dFJPNkNrVFJ5WWVjbE96Q2pyWDFZX1E&usp=docslist_api
Enter your name under a Saturday date that fits your schedule. If your first choice is full, please feel free to sign up on a different date that has openings. To save your name to the spreadsheet, you must click on another cell in the spreadsheet.
Please contact food pantry manager, Judy Phillips, to find out more or to sign up. Additional information can be obtained by contacting Vickie/Dave Greene or Maren/Jon Jordan.
